This is a great workshop for anyone who has to deal with maintenance of a gravel road, camp road, road association road, or even a driveway. Pete Coughlan from the DOT does a great job of making what could be a dry subject both highly informative and entertaining. Attorney Mary Denison is well versed in road association law - bring her your questions. Josh Platt analyzes camp roads for maintenance issues and assists in prioritizing tasks to stay within a budget. I'm not as familiar with the other speakers, but expect they will be equally good. Even if it's a long drive, I highly recommend this workshop - especially to anyone who is new to road maintenance, or who is thinking of forming a road association, or who wants to improve the efficacy of an existing road association. Hope to see you there!

Hi MARA, this year's conference will have 2 workshops held at the same time, so double up your plans to bring a partner too.

The Soil Scientist is a new presenter that can help address the quality of gravel used on your roads. Also John from DEP has worked with many Road Associations in the past to help members learn ways to evaluate our roads. He may refer you to the DEP contacts in your county.
