Our road has some issues that make us believe that consulting a road engineer would be wise.  We are in south western Maine and would like some contact information.  Because of the cost so the project and the fee of an engineer we are also interested in any process that would help fund such a project.  Thank you.

Josh Platt from Maine Environmental Solutions spoken at the last MARA meeting and I thought he was very knowledgeable. Not sure if his company would cover your area or not, but he may know of someone that does. I got one of his cards at the meeting and have the following information:

    Phone: 207-441-9366

About four or five years ago I called upon a Maine Local Road Consultant to assist in advising the best way to replace a significant culvert. His name is Philip Curtis of Madison, Maine and was associated with Maine DOT as I recall. His telephone number at the time was (home) 207-696-3052 and cell 431-6448 with an email of dpc@beeline-online.net. He may have retired by now but he would be worth a try since he consulted at no cost. I also have a DOT tel number at 624-3270.

    Good luck, Peter Dunn
