AV Portland: Virtual (Zoom) Attendance

Conference Workshops:

“Private Road Maintenance with Adjacent Water Quality Preservation”: by John Maclaine, Non-Point Source Training Center Coordinator, Center Maine Department of Environmental Protection. Our attendees know we need drainage and good materials - how do we construct good ditches, French drains or "rock cannolis," crowning, and culverts, and how do we select the right materials? How do you fix a pot hole? How do you determine the size needed for a culvert? What slopes and stabilization are needed for ditches?

“Legal Aspects of Administrative Operations”: by Attorneys Mary Denison of Lake & Denison, Winthrop, Maine, and John Cunningham of Eaton Peabody, Brunswick, Maine. They will present on topics related to the Private Ways Statutes, 23 M. R. S. §§3101-3104 including formation and continued operations of non-profit and statutory road associations.

“Working with Conflict” by Leah Boyd, Mediator/Facilitator/Communication Trainer. Leah is co-owner of Clarity Services, LLC a Maine-based service supporting groups and individuals to communicate effectively in times of conflict. Leah is a certified trainer with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication. For the past 13 years she has focused her attention on mediation, facilitation and communication skills training for schools, businesses, cooperatives and nonprofits of all kinds.

Registration and Attendance:

Safety for attendees at Maple Hill Farm Conference Center is paramount. Currently, Maple Hill has no special Covid related restrictions for attendance and can accommodate 30 people at Carriage House. MARA has decided to limit attendance to 24 in-person attendees plus the 4 Speakers and the A-V person. This number may be changed based on safety concerns or registration numbers. Carriage House has multiple patio doors, and excellent continuous ventilation for your safety and comfort. Please call or email us with questions.

AV Portland will provide a professional virtual experience that will allow for ample presenter/audience interaction by both in-person and virtual attendees.

All Register online, on Events Page. Full payment only, no partial payments.
