Re. #6 of section 23-3054 of the Maine Private Way statute: How can we form a Statutory Road Association if most of the roads servicing our camps were originally used for logging? So far, I have been told by the DEP in both Bangor and Augusta that they have no idea because "they are only concerned with run off". They advised us to "hire a lawyer". Does this mean that we will have to form a corporation which we would rather not do? Can anyone give us advice about a Statutory association or a knowledgeable law firm to contact?
