Fees for TIN Application

    Can you tell me if anyone has had to pay a fee to have a TIN assigned to their road association.  We are being told that there is now a $250 fee for this.

    Our association has been in place for many years so I don't recall anything specific to the association.  Never-the-less, I do not think it has any cost associated with it at all---Free as can be.    All the information you might need can be found at http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/Taxpayer-Identification-Numbers-(TIN)
