I have some people assuming the fire dept in an emergency will use the water from great lakes to put out their home fires. Whereas the research I found says this is not true, but it isn't reliable because of on line research. Also I have insurance companies state that the lake water does not qualify to reduce home insurance prices to put out a fire, only a dry hydrant for emergencies of having water to put out a house fire will. What is the correct information?
